Olivier Sarrat is the Business Development Manager focused on the chemical and petrochemical industry at NobelClad. Sarrat has a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and is currently working toward a master’s degree in Strategy and Management of International Business. He has 23 years of experience with NobelClad in contract management, operations management and supply chain. He has extensive knowledge in explosion bonding manufacture and control.
Sarrat will focus on developing new opportunities for NobelClad to serve the chemical process industry. Historically one of the stronger business segments for NobelClad, the chemical market is a fertile ground for clad metal products that address high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive environments to deliver safe, reliable and economical solutions. Mr. Junji Shimamura
Junji Shimamura is a holder of the master degree in energy science from Kyoto University, Japan.
He is a senior researcher in steel products research department in JFE steel since 2002. He is in charge of research and development of UOE pipes and clad plate steels.
Dr. Tadahiro Kishida
Dr. Kishida is an Assistant Professor at Khalifa University at Civil Infrastructure and Environmental Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis in USA. He worked at the University of California, Berkeley and Chiba University in Japan. He also has industry experience at URS Corporation in Oakland, California by designing geotechnical structure such as dams, levees and structure foundations. He is a professional engineer in the State of California. His research focuses on engineering seismology, design and monitoring of dams and levees under seismic loads, insitu soil characterization and soil liquefactions.
Mr. Richard Simpson is Senior Corrosion Consultant at ZINGAMETALL. He obtained his BSc Chemistry degree from the University of Rhodesia in 1973, and then entered the world of coatings, where he has been highly active over the past 43 years. He began as an R&D chemist at ICI Paints, and within five years he was promoted to the Head of the Technical Support Division. Five years later, he became divisional manager of the Technical Division in Durban where he headed a small team and saw the development of the world’s first marine polystyrene glassflake coating, Sea Glass.
In late 1993 Rick joined the Zinga family, where has now been for 23 years, and he became involved in studies at Sheffield Hallam University (Corrosion Under Insulation) and Cranfield University (Corrosion of Rebars Inside Concrete) and with Capcis UK division at Nottingham University (stray current corrosion). Currently, he is the only person in the UK (and possibly Europe) who has developed drone technology for measuring the zinc-thickness on the tops of transmission towers.
Mr. Rifnur Latipov
Mr. Rifnur Latipov hold MSc in Chemical Engineering from Technical University of Denmark, Copenhagen and have been employed in Hempel A/S since February 2016 as Chemist in R&D department.
During his studies he have done number of projects with Hempel A/S, primarily in the field of fouling release coatings; primary focused on organic synthesis of special additives and in-situ characterization of the additives in a dry film of fouling release coatings.
Mr. Rifnur Latipov is responsible for new product development in the field of protective coatings and investigation of new technologies related to paint testing and development.
Currently he hold a position of Senior Chemist in Group Protective R&D and is responsible for technical lead in several new technology product development projects.

Dr. Nathan T. Switzner
Dr. Nathan Switzner specializes in failure analysis and investigating the links between processing, microstructure, and material performance. His metallurgical experience ranges from aerospace component production to refinery metallurgy. Dr. Nathan’s focus areas are friction welding, fusion welding, casting, materials selection, forging and forming, fracture, heat treatment, corrosion, microstructural analysis and mechanical testing. Prior to this, he had involved in various alloy systems including stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, nickel, copper, bronze, aluminum, titanium, vanadium and tantalum. Dr. Nathanworks in industrial, commercial, and domestic proactive problem solving and metallurgical failure analysis.
Prior to joining Exponent, Dr. Switzner worked at Honeywell Manufacturing and Technologies, Valero Refining and ExxonMobil. At Honeywell, he led a project team that worked with outside suppliers to ensure procurement of quality forged and formed stainless steel components. He also reviewed and revised internal specifications for metals and alloys. His work with Valero included analyses of corrosion and fatigue failures in refinery reactors, vessels, and piping. At ExxonMobil, he performed physical simulation of steel welds and microstructural analysis for the Upstream Research Company. Dr. Switzner’s past work has given him experience in working with many specifications and recommendations including those published by ASTM, ASME, API, NACE, AWS, ISO, and others.
At the Colorado School of Mines, Dr. Switzner’s thesis studies included forging processes for stainless steel and solid-state joining of stainless steel to plain carbon steel for cladding applications. Phases of his Ph.D. work included mechanical property and microstructure comparisons of fusion welds and inertia friction welds as-well-as corrosion comparisons of wrought and welded stainless steels.

During his M.Sc., he worked on a collaborative research project between KFUPM and Massachusetts Institute of technology (MIT), U.S.A for “Clean Water and Clean Energy”. Mr. Mirza is an author of 3 International journal publications and 7 International conference papers. Currently, he is a Lead Production Engineer of Induction Bending Department at Saudi Steel Pipe Company in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, where he has worked for 7 years. Being in this field he was introduced to the technology and process of Hot Induction Bending from where he started to perform his research and analysis on the practical problems which are faced during the manufacturing process for a better quality product and customer satisfaction.

Mr. Craig Woolhouse joined Elcometer in 2001 as European Sales Manager where he was responsible for developing the sales of Elcometer products across the key European Industrial countries, resulting in the opening of a number of new distribution partners across both Western and Eastern Europe. For the past 13 years his area of responsibility has expanded to include India, Africa and the Middle East where Craig has overseen extensive growth for Elcometer in these regions, not only through the development of close business relationships but through proactive management of the distribution network, culminating with the opening of the Elcometer sales, service and repair facility in Dubai.Prior to this, Mr. Craig worked for 17 years in the European automotive component supply industry.
In addition to being certified to NACE Level 1, Mr. Craig is also a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer (B.Eng 1984) with a deep interest in how to develop the company’s product and applications in the Coatings Inspection and NDT market sectors through industry education and working with key institutions such as Saudi Aramco, NACE, SSPC and CorriSA.

Dr. Emara Ahmed has been involved for 26 years in structural operations related to the oil and gas industries and graduated from Job Engineer to Lead Engineer supporting the project team then Structural Section Head and Structural Manager. Dr. Emara holds a Bachelor’s degree of Engineering with Honors, Master’s degree in Engineering and PhD degree of Engineering. He is an expert in FEED engineering, basic engineering, detailed engineering, installation engineering and integrity assessment of fixed offshore structures, finite element methods and different analysis of structures. Mr. Emara is quite familiar with relevant international design codes and structural analysis programs. He had published different technical structural papers in structural conferences and journals.

Prior to joining Tuboscope, Mr. Robert worked for Baker Petrolite in research and development of chemical inhibitors and automated systems for which he received three US Patents. In his current position with Tuboscope, Mr. Robert is working to improve the technology behind the testing of various quality parameters, the electronic capture of that data, and the improvement of the system based on data trends. He also leads Tuboscope’s technical support team as they work with the industry to improve the understanding of internal coating technology. Then, Mr. Oliver led strategic investment program and CAPEX for a French company. In 2011, he joined ABS to build a Research and Development Center in France.
Today, in direct collaboration with key account managers for the whole group, Mr. Olivier supports all projects from a technical point of view and follows their results with ABS’s customers.
Mr. Hajo Schulenburg
Mr. Hajo Schulenburg is the founder of VisiConsult X-ray Systems & Solutions GmbH, a specialist for industrial X-ray inspection solutions and automation. He finished his engineering studies in Germany (Luebeck) in 1988. He worked as a development engineer at Nordischer Maschinenbau, developing a fish bone detector on X-ray base from 1992 to 2002. Mr. Hajo was also head of the industrial X-ray imaging department at Roentgen SEIFERT (now GE) before founding VisiConsult in 1996.
Mr. Tetsuro Sawaki

Mr. Tetsuro Sawaki has been involved for 25 years experience in various tubular business ranging from factory to customers, which includes “factory manager” for seamless pipe production and High frequency welded pipe production, “Products Service & Development” section for domestic and international market, “Tubular Business Planning Dept.” in charge of Research and Development, “Oversea office” based in JFE London Office. Mr. Tetsuro is now working as a technical service engineer for OCTG stationed in JFE Steel Corporation Dubai Office.
Mr. Merrick Alpert
Merrick Alpert is President of EonCoat, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company as it distributes its patented anti-corrosive coating worldwide.
Prior to EonCoat, Alpert served in increasingly senior executive positions at energy companies including Turbine Generator Maintenance, Enron Energy Services, Pacific Gas & Electric and Smith Cogeneration International.
Merrick Alpert served in the United States Military. In 1998 Captain Alpert volunteered as a US Peacekeeper in Bosnia and for his lifesaving actions in a valley outside of Sarajevo, was awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal.
Alpert graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1991 and from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut in 1988. Alpert’s memoir, Morning Sun, was published by Lyons Press in 2009.

In his career period he has worked in several roles starting from NDT inspector, product specialist and up to product manager for Advanced NDT products so far. Vignesh comes from Mechanical engineering background as well also a UT levelIII. At present his Key role is provide technical assistance to all existing as well as new customer in METNA region on Advanced NDT products in Olympus.
Mr. Sreenivasa Rao
Mr. Sreenivasa Rao is a post graduate in Chemistry and working as Regional Technical Manager for Middle East and Africa. He has been in the field of coatings R&D for more than 20 years and has worked with various industries like protective, Marine, Coil, packaging including high performance coatings.

Mr Rajendra Tapadia CMD Safeback Industries Ltd Pune & Director of Bilcare Ltd. He is a Chemical Engineer at core and graduate in packaging from UK. He has passionately pursued Sreel Packaging Research for last decades, a field which was unexplored and helped more than 130 steel mills from Japan to YSA, in order to realize correct perspective of corrosion prevention. He is founder, director and leads technology Bilcare limited – the largest global manufacture pharmaceutical packaging material with plants in Europe and USA, holding 25 per cent of global medical table packaging market.
